The Church Of Almighty God |
Answer: As for this question, let’s read a passage of Almighty God’s word first. “The most important thing in following God is to do everything according to God’s present word. Whether you pursue to enter into life or to satisfy God’s heart’s desire, you have to focus on God’s present word. If what you fellowship and what you pursue to enter into are not centered around God’s present word, you are one outside God’s word and absolutely do not have the work of the Holy Spirit. … Those who can keep up with the Holy Spirit’s present work, walk in God’s footsteps, and follow wherever God leads will have God’s blessing. Those who fail to keep up with the Holy Spirit’s present work have not entered into the work of God’s word.
No matter how much work they do, how greatly they suffer, or how much they run, it will not count, and God will not approve of them. … Keeping up with the work of the Holy Spirit means that one understands God’s present will and can act according to God’s present requirements, obey and follow the God of today, and enter in according to God’s newest word. Such is a person who keeps up with the work of the Holy Spirit and who is in the stream of the Holy Spirit. He not only can be approved by God and see God, but also can know God’s disposition from God’s newest work, know man’s notions, man’s disobedience, and man’s nature and substance from God’s newest work, and gradually gain the transformation of his disposition in his service. Only such a person is one who can gain God and who has truly found the true way” (“Know God’s Newest Work and Keep Up With God’s Pace” in The Word Appears in the Flesh). Following God mainly means following His present work, obeying and practicing His present words, and keeping His commandments. Besides, it means in everything searching for God’s will, practicing according to His words, absolutely obeying the work and guidance of the Holy Spirit, and finally becoming the ones who can practice the truth and do God’s will. Only such people are those who follow God and receive God’s salvation. If man follows the Bible and exalts the Bible outwardly in his faith, but actually practices and experiences simply according to man’s words and teachings in the Bible instead of obeying and practicing God’s words, and also if he doesn’t seek God’s will, but just hold to the religious rites and regulations, then he is following man. If man takes man’s words in the Bible as God’s words to obey and practice, but nullifies and ignores the Lord Jesus’ words, and never obeys His commandments, he will be detested, rejected, and cursed by the Lord, just like the hypocritical Pharisees. There are many people who blindly believe in the spiritual greats, pastors and elders, and adore the hypocritical Pharisees at the same time of believing in the Lord. Whatever problems they meet, they would turn to the pastors and elders for help and consultation. Even when it comes to investigating the true way, they would also ask the pastors and elders for approval. As a result, they are all deceived and misled by the hypocritical Pharisees and religious leaders, and are led onto the path of resisting God; such is the consequence and end of following man. In his belief in God, man should follow the work of the Holy Spirit, follow God’s present words, follow the footprints of the Holy Spirit’s work and perform the duty that should be performed; only in this way is he truly following God. Especially during the time of God doing the work of judgment in the last days, the religious world has lost the work of the Holy Spirit and become desolate, and man is forced to seek the true way. At this time, we should pay great attention to seeking out the words of the Spirit to the churches, God’s utterances and the work of the Holy Spirit. By contrast, if man doesn’t seek the work and words of the Holy Spirit, fails to hear God’s voice and receive the supply of God’s present words, he will be eliminated and forsaken by God’s work of the last days, weeping and gnashing his teeth in the darkness. For those who truly follow and obey God, God will never forsake them, while for those who always adore the religious pastors and elders, who obey and follow man, they will all be revealed, eliminated and forsaken by God’s work in the end.
Although man cries out that as a believer in God, one should only follow God and obey God, yet they act otherwise. It can be seen from the Jewish believers’ attitude towards the Lord Jesus that differs from that of others like Peter and John in the Age of Grace. The Lord Jesus carried out a new work. He expressed the truth and brought the way of repentance. But most Jewish believers merely followed the instructions of the chief priests and the Pharisees, and refused to accept the Lord Jesus’ work and words. As a result, they missed out the Lord’s salvation. In name they believed in God, but in fact they believed in the chief priests, scribes, and the Pharisees. Those like Peter, John, Matthew, and Philip, however, saw that the Lord Jesus’ work and words have authority and power, and are the truth from God. Thus they followed the Lord Jesus, and were not bound by the Pharisees. These people were the ones who truly followed and obeyed God. In the last days, only by accepting and obeying Almighty God’s work of judgment can one be said to truly follow and obey God, which exactly fulfills the prophecy in Revelation, “These are they which follow the Lamb wherever he goes” (Revelation 14:4). Nowadays, the religious leaders become the same as the Jewish Pharisees. They strongly exalt man’s words in the Bible but disobey the Lord Jesus’ words. It’s even more absurd that they use the Bible out of context to condemn God’s work in the last days, deceiving, binding, and controlling the believers. For instance, the Lord Jesus said it clearly that “but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven” shall enter into the kingdom of heaven. Yet the religious pastors and leaders preach that as long as one labors hard while believing in the Lord, he can enter the kingdom of heaven, and that the violent take the kingdom of heaven by force. The Lord Jesus required man that “You shall worship the Lord your God,” yet some so-called spiritual figures encourage man to pursue to “become God” and “reign and rule all nations and all people.” How ridiculous they are! The religious pastors and leaders work and preach nominally for the Lord, but actually they are preaching man’s teachings, asking people to obey their own views as the truth. They are blind guides like the hypocritical Pharisees, the antichrists, resisting and opposing Christ, and building their own kingdom. Once people follow the religious leaders and famous figures, they’ve already chosen their own path and gone astray from the Lord’s way. This is a severe resistance and betrayal of God. If they don’t repent, they are surely to be abandoned and eliminated by God.
