The church is being built and Satan is trying its utmost to demolish it. It wants to demolish My construction by any means possible, therefore the church must quickly be purified. There must be no dregs or any evils leftover; it must be purified so that it becomes flawless and remains as pure as it was before. You must be awake and waiting at every moment, and you must pray more before Me. You must recognize the various plots and cunning schemes of Satan, know the spirit, know people and be able to discern all kinds of people, matters and things; you must eat and drink more of My words and, more importantly, you must be able to eat and drink them by yourselves. Equip yourselves with all the truth, come before Me so that I may open your spiritual eyes and allow you to see all the mysteries that lie within the spirit…. When the church enters its construction phase, a battle of the saints against Satan[a] ensues. Satan’s various hideous features are set before you; do you stop and backslide, or do you stand up and walk onward, relying on Me? Thoroughly expose Satan’s corrupt and ugly features, spare no feelings and show no mercy! Fight Satan to the death! I am your backup and you must have the spirit of the male child! Satan is lashing out in its final death throes but it will still be unable to escape My judgment. Satan is beneath My feet and it is also trodden underneath your feet—it’s true!

I want to remind you that you cannot be even a little vague on My word and any carelessness is unacceptable. You must heed and obey it and go about things in accordance with My intentions. You must always be alert and never have a disposition that is arrogant and self-righteous, and you must always rely on Me to cast away the natural old disposition that dwells within you. You should always be able to maintain the normal condition before Me, and have a stable disposition. Your thinking must be sober and clear and should not be swayed or controlled by any person, event, or thing. You should always be calm in My presence and always maintain a continuous closeness and fellowship with Me. You shall show unyielding courage and stand firm in your testimony to Me.

The raising up of environments around us hastens our retreat into the spirit. Don’t act with a hardened heart, don’t disregard whether or not the Holy Spirit is worried, don’t try to be smart and don’t be complacent and self-satisfied or make too much of your own hardships; the only thing to do is to worship God in spirit and truth. You cannot leave God’s words behind or turn a deaf ear to them; you must figure them out carefully, repeat your pray-reading, and grasp the life within the words. Don’t engage in futility by wolfing them down without giving yourself time to digest them. Do you rely on God’s words in everything you do? Don’t talk big like a child and then get all in a muddle whenever anything crops up. You must exercise your spirit every hour of every day, don’t relax even for a moment. You must have a keen spirit.

We must experience and be certain about His word and achieve an understanding of His word, allowing His word to be our life. This is our calling! We triumph only when we live by God’s word.

If He says that we are to be made complete, then we will be made complete. There is no need for man to be anxious, he should move ahead calmly. However, he should pay much heed and be very watchful. Heaven may change in an instant! Man’s naked eyes can be opened wide and yet be unable to see anything. Quickly be watchful, the will of God has been accomplished, His project has been completed, His plan has succeeded, His sons have all arrived at His throne, and they judge all nations and all peoples with Almighty God. Those who have been persecuting the church, and cruelly injuring God’s sons, will be severely punished, that is for certain! Those who truly give themselves to God, and uphold everything, God will certainly love them for all eternity, without ever changing!

“God’s love overflowing is freely given to man, God’s love is around him. Man, innocent and pure, without a care to tie him down, lives in bliss in the eyes of God. … If you are a person of conscience and with humanity, you will feel warm, being cared for and loved, you will feel blessed with happiness” (“How Important God’s Love for Man Is” in Follow the Lamb and Sing New Songs). Every time I start to sing this hymn of the word of God, it’s hard to keep down the emotions stirring inside me. That is because I was once far astray from God and went against Him. I was like a lost sheep, unable to find the road home, and it was God’s steadfast love that led me to return home. In what follows, I wish to share my experience of returning to God’s house with both those brothers and sisters who are part of the Lord as well as those friends who have not yet turned to God.

As the work of the Holy Spirit continues onward, God has once again ushered us into a new method of the Holy Spirit’s work. As a result, it is unavoidable that some have misunderstood Me and made complaints to Me. Some have resisted and opposed Me, and have scrutinized Me. However, I still mercifully wait for your repentance and reform. The change in the method of the Holy Spirit’s work is God Himself openly appearing. My word will remain unchanged! Since it is you that I am saving, I will not forsake you halfway down the road. But there are doubts inside of you and you want to turn back empty-handed. Some of you have stopped moving forward while others are observing and waiting. Still others are passively complying with the situation, and some are simply imitating what others are doing. You have really hardened your hearts! You have taken what I said to you and turned it into your own arrogance and boasting. Contemplate this further—this is nothing but the words of mercy and judgment coming upon you. You are indeed rebellious. The Holy Spirit speaks directly and dissects directly. You should be afraid. Do not act recklessly or do anything rash. Do not be vain, arrogant, or opinionated! You should focus more on putting My word into practice, and live out My word everywhere you go, so that My word may truly transform you from the inside and that My disposition may be manifested in you. These are true results.

The Church of Almighty God | Chapter 18

Building the church is not an easy thing to do! I put My whole heart into building it and Satan would do everything it could to tear it down. If you want to be built you must have a vision; you must live a life by Me, be a witness of Christ, hold Christ up on high, and be loyal to Me. You should not give excuses, but instead obey without condition; you must endure any trials, and accept all that comes from Me. You must follow whatever the Holy Spirit does to lead you. You must have a keen spirit and the ability to distinguish things. You must understand people and not blindly follow others, keep your spiritual eyes bright and possess a thorough knowledge of things. People who are of the same mind as Me must stand witness to Me and fight the deciding battle against Satan. You must both be built and fight the battle. I am amongst you, I support you and I am your refuge.

The year my husband died, I was deep in despair, and on top of that I had the added burden of raising my children. Hardship had suddenly befallen my life, but I had the love of the Lord with me all along, and with the help of my brothers and sisters I got through this difficult time. To recompense the love of the Lord, I continued to make donations and serve the church, and have been doing so for over thirty years. In this time, I have experienced the thriving of the church and seen the glorious occasion of the spread of the gospel of the Lord Jesus. I’ve also witnessed desolation and helplessness in the church. I thought back to when the Holy Spirit first began to do the great work in the church, when we experienced enjoyment and gained much from listening to the pastor’s preaching.

My name is Zhang Hui, and in 1993 my entire family came to believe in the Lord Jesus. I was an enthusiastic seeker, so I quickly became a preacher. I would often travel around to different churches to work and preach. After a few years, I quit my job and began to serve the Lord full time. However, for some unknown reason, my brothers’ and sisters’ faith and love gradually cooled, and jealousy and strife grew between co-workers. I also felt that my spirit was withering, and I had nothing left to preach on. In 2005, my wife got cancer, and she died soon after that. This was a huge blow for me and I became even weaker. One day, I went to stay at my cousin’s house and met two sisters there, who preached Almighty God’s gospel of the kingdom. Over several days of fellowship and debate, I came to truly believe that the Lord Jesus had returned, that He is Almighty God in the flesh.
